As the Database Manager, you will ensure that our EPOS and business solution systems delivers and helps our customers to grow their businesses.The successful candidate will build strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that their product data is available for customers through the EPOS solution. The candidate will liaise with customers to ensure the right product data is available exactly when they need it.The roleOn a day-to-day basis you will be involved in the following tasks:Supplier Relationship management:Establish and maintain relationships with existing manufacturers to ensure prompt and regular feeds of product data.Recruit and build relationships with new manufacturers - establish the supply of their product data, including pricing.Liaise with our partners to work effectively together on shared data, and to meet their data needs.Data ManagementCreate and maintain a calendar of manufacturer product releases to ensure new data is supplied in good time.Liaise with our partners to effectively manage the processing of combined product data.Monitor incoming data files to ensure data is of the right quality.Work with data analyst to manage the processing of the data files and clean as required.Monitor existing manufacturers data feeds and data integrity to ensure the process continues to run smoothly.Act as a liaison for manufacturers in case of problems or questions.Work closely with the EPOS Product Manager to improve the look and feel of how the data is presented and utilised within our main products.Customer managementHandle brand/data questions from users.Make phone calls to customers who are using our online product database to ask about feedback and ways we could improve our data quality etc.Occasionally, expected to visit customer on site with other members of team.Social MediaProduct data uploads from brands as and when the data is available.Skills
