Protocol Education are currently working with a Special School in North Bristol who are looking for a 1:1 carer/Learning Support Assistant.You will be working in a specialist provision for children with SEMH needs that thrive in a supported, specialised and empowering environment. Children that attend the school have experienced difficulty within their school lives which has affected their mental health and education. All children have individual plans and are supported in small groups of 5-8 pupils and 1:1 to help them to understand themselves, build confidence and achieve their educational and personal goals. For this particular role the school are requiring a priority of care needs, working 1:1 with a pupil.You will be working supporting the pupils care needs as a priority and introducing and supporting with their education. The role will involve working on site at the school as well as some outreach work throughout the week.This is a long term, on going position.Role: 1:1 Carer & Learning Support AssistantStart date: Monday 22nd FebruaryLocation: North Bristol BS10Specifics & Experience: Care experience preferred/Epilepsy training/experience (Training can be provided) The ideal candidate will be professional and passionate about individuals care needs/SEMH and supporting children with additional needs and being fully able to adapt themselves to meet each individual needs.
