Job Description

Dawsongroup plc | SweepersUK Parts ManagerDawsongroup|Sweepersis part ofDawsongroup plc,a national provider of commercial vehicle rental and contract hire solutions.Due to our continued success we are currently looking for a UK Parts Manager to join our business based in Brighouse.Managing the UK parts and stock operations along with inventory levels, in the most cost effective and efficient manner. Ensuring any demand from both field and depot engineering functions are matched both by service and balanced stock holding costs.The successful candidate will:

  • Provision of strong team leadership and management of the parts/stores controllers and assistants.
  • Full control of parts and inventory held at all UK stock locations.
  • Ensure that components and raw materials are purchased in a timely basis as necessary to supply the maintenance and repair of the hire fleet.
  • To ensure that inventory levels are constantly reviewed and monitored including depot stock
  • Have cost effective purchasing by agreed prices with suppliers and maximising order values and quantities.
  • Maintain appropriate controls over parts returned to suppliers under warranty or SLA arrangements
  • Checking, coding,resolving queries and authorising invoices prior to final payment approval.
  • Continual review and improveof department processes and procedures.
  • To be successful for this position you will:
  • Experience working in a similar environment / position
  • Have confident communication skills verbally and written
  • Be experienced within a store’s environment
  • Have a good attention to detail
  • Have experience with Microsoft office
  • Have a full UK drivers licence
  • Ideally have a good mechanical background
