Job Description

Salary: £highly competitive + valuable benefitsAbout the role:This is an exciting opportunity for a MCERTS Level 2 qualified Stack Emissions professional to join the management team of a successful business delivering environmental stack emissions monitoringto a wide range of clients nationwide and internationally with the UK’s number one testing, inspection and compliance company.Client-focused and quality driven, we are a leading provider of Environmental & Safety Services. We are one of the largest, established MCERTS accredited stack emissions monitoring consultancies, providing nationwide coverage in the UK and Ireland from six fully resourced regional offices, and have a proven track record of monitoring in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and India.Due to expansion, we are looking for a Technical & Quality Manager to maintain our high quality standards and accreditations, and help drive continuous improvement and new innovations.You will:

  • Provide technical support to clients, managers and emissions consultants
  • Oversee the business’s UKAS & MCERTS accredited quality management system, ensuring that procedures follow guidance & best practice, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation
  • Analyse data from BS EN 14181 projects, and produce AST & QAL2 technical reports
  • Undertake quality audits of operational staff, and provide technical training
  • Represent SOCOTEC on industry technical committees and working groups.
  • About you:We’re looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated individual with ability to work as part of a busy emissions team. Applicants should preferably be qualified to degree standard in an environmental/scientific discipline, hold a full driving licence, and have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in emissions monitoring.Communicative, organised, flexible and committed, you must also have:
  • Experience in a quality or technical role
  • Extensive knowledge of stack emissions standards and guidance
  • Knowledge of manual and instrumentation techniques, including FTIR
  • Customer awareness and a focus on service delivery
