Position SummaryWe are looking for a Southern Region Planner to join the planning department.You will support and report directly into our Head of Planning and also the Project managers on the schemes you are allocated. Attendance to their Colchester site office will be expected on a minimum of two days a week and your remaining time at the Brentwood site office. There is a possibility for work from home as well.This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the Planning Department and be responsible for schemes in our Southern Area which range from drainage to highways projects.Required Critical Skills and Behaviours* Working knowledge of NEC 3 & 4* Strong skills using Primavera P6 & Microsoft Project* Great IT skills, including all Microsoft Office packages.* Excellent customer service and communication * Good attention to detail and able to organise and manage outputs.* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written* Ability to multitask.* Enthusiastic and inquisitive attitude* Collaborative in nature* Diligent and thorough* Bold and confident personality* Ability to work as part of a team. * Experience required in the following areas: groundworks, earthworks, civils works, enabling works and highways. * Working knowledge of drainage installs and producing Activity Schedules is necessary.* Full Driving Licence Duties and Responsibilities* Providing planning support, general scheduling and planning assistance to other planners and Project Managers* Writing of monthly programmes * Update programmes and create impacted programmes based on CEs and change. * Liaise with senior stakeholders , internally and externally, updating the strategic programme.* Monitor the progress of works and mitigate delay. * Track and control any changes and deviations to the delivery programme.Whats on offerIn return they offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges as well as a competitive salary and benefits package. * 25 days annual leave entitlement, plus bank holidays* Competitive salary with potential bonusImmediate startsFor more information about this role and how to apply please email your CV in the first instance to
