Job Description

Competitive salary and benefitsLocation:Flexible (occasional travel to the Retail Support Centre in Brentwood is required)Work pattern:5 days per week (35 hours)-flexible working availableMcColl’s Retail Group (MRG) are a leading neighbourhood retailer serving the Convenience and Newsagent sectors with a strong national presence throughout the UK.We are currently looking to recruit ambitious and highly talented individuals to take on the role of Service Delivery Manager within our busy Property & Development Department. Reporting to the Head of Property, Development & Maintenance, the key purpose of this role is Delivery Lead of the Built Environments Service for the McColl’s Retail portfolio.Key Responsibilities Manage the service delivery of our agents (KSD & Livingstone) to ensure contractual compliance, effective service delivery, reconciliation of spend to service provisionLead the team of technical specialists who deliver on site solutions to maintenance and compliance issuesManage all the works (improvement, repair or dilapidations) to the store portfolio to ensure appropriate to customer needsEnsure delivery using third parties that are legal and legislatively compliant, and that effectively and efficiently fit within our allocated budget profileManage workflow to ensure minimum disruption to our customers and store colleagues Quality check delivery ofsuppliers works to ensure its consistently meeting the standards we set for our customers to expectEssential Requirements

  • Entrepreneurial by nature with a strong sense of ownership
  • Experienced in managing all the service support activities of a Convenience Retailing business, exposure to scale is key and ability to balance the challenging needs of an organisation within effective budget constraints that ensure we maintain a profitable organisation through all that we do
  • A strong leader and influencer who can take the existing FM & Compliance team forward, Managing the external agents to contractual commitments, and influence the MRG Senior Leadership Team on the future needs (Both investment and approach) that the organisation must do to be fit for purpose in delivery of the MRG Business Plans
  • A solid financial manager, this role carries management responsibility for a multimillionpound budget and as in all businesses delivery to this is a key success factor in the role
