Job Description

A growing business is looking for an Instructional Designer to take ownership and responsibility in the creation of high-quality learning and development content and assist with the integration across the business.In this role you will be willing to travel nationwide to film various projects that you can then use for eLearning content, you will use your experience of stakeholder management, including working independently with subject matter experts to finalise designs.Ideally you have solid eLearning or instructional design experience and enjoy working on various projects at any one time.You are proficient in the use of Articulate 360 and are skilled in the use of video recording live action, instructional videos and talking head/interviews.You have knowledge of learning methodologies and instructional design processes and an awareness of SCORM standards and standard content integrations of learning management systems.You role will be responsible for ensuring that all learning and development products are developed to design brief, specification, on time and within budget.Working closely with subject matter experts and relevant stakeholders, the role holder will be expected to take ownership and responsibility in the creation of high-quality learning and development content and assist with the integration across the business.As an Instructional Designer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating engaging learning materials
  • Continuous development of existing eLearning programmes
  • Working with stakeholders to develop digital resources and virtual classroom courses
  • Conducting and participating in design planning sessions and scoping meetings
  • Working closely with stakeholders to analyse both employee and business needs and design programmes around these needs
  • Recording and producing different types of videos
  • Accurately preparing and developing assessment, guides, learning objectives, and supporting material
We are looking for an Instructional Designer who has the following skills and experience:
  • Knowledge of learning methodologies and design processes
  • An awareness of SCORM standards and standard content integrations of learning management systems
  • Proficiency in the use of Articulate 360
  • Skilled in the use of video recording live action, instructional videos, and talking head/interviews
