Job Description

JSS Finance are delighted to be partnering our client; a successful large business based near Brentwood, Essex on the recruitment of this Finance Manager role. This is a challenging and interesting management role; managing four staff, month end accounting,P&L analysis and management reporting with a remit of assisting in change and improvements to processes, systems and controls. This Finance Manager role reports into the Financial Controller who will provide guidance and mentoring.The Role:This Finance Manager role based in Brentwood, Essex will have the opportunity to management a team and to assist in driving positive change and improvements across finance. Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing month end managements accounting
  • Managing a team of four staff
  • Implementing best practise month end closure process & accurate reconciliation of control accounts.
  • Implementing regular balance sheet reviews and sign off’s
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts and Group Board reports
  • Managing, developing and improving management reporting explaining business performance
  • Assist in managing cash flow and cash flow forecasting
  • Identify and drive the simplification of operational procedures and processes
  • Support and assist with large scale strategic projects and initiatives
  • Present reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and Finance Director
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts, as required
  • Driving a continuous improvement mindset across finance
Profile:We are ideally looking for a fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Finance Manager with several years demonstrable experience of managing month end, analysis, management reporting and staff management in a large business or someone who has trained in audit lookingfor a management role in industry.On Offer:A salary of circa £65,000 - £70,000 plus bonus and benefits dependent on relevant skills, qualifications and experience plus hybrid working in the office 2 days per week.
