Job Description

We are working with a successful care home construction company based in the south east of England. This company are making moves in the industry by putting the residents first and designing bespoke care homes that are dedicated to the highest quality assisted, and later living. On the back of their success and continued growth, they are looking to add a new Technical Coordinator to their team.GENERAL

  • General Technical support for all Developments schemes from pre-planning to post contract.
  • Assisting and supporting other departments of Land Development, Construction, Commercial, Buying and Interior Design in Technical issues.
  • Assisting in the project management of the Design Team from pre-planning through contract to completion, to produce information for planning applications, building regulations and warranty conditions discharge, tender and procurement of sub-contractor packages and construction information.
  • PRE-PLANNING
  • Assist development staff with project feasibilities, advising on design, technical specification, design briefs, costs, planning procurement and legal technical issues.
  • Assist in the procurement of all necessary pre-purchase and pre-planning surveys by obtaining quotes, appointing consultants, arranging surveys and managing the production of reports, ensuring the Budget is maintained.
  • Assist in the procurement of Technical Planning Reports, ensuring the Budget is maintained.
  • Assisting in the production of the Land/Technical Report for presentation.
  • POST PLANNING
  • Assist in the Appointment of Design Team Consultants including the agreement of Scope of Services and Fees.
  • Provide design support and advice to Commercial Surveyors and Buyers on technical issues in particular the procurement of sub-contractor packages.
  • Provide Technical support and advice to the Construction Team throughout construction period.
  • Assist in the management of information for Planning Condition submission and approvals.
  • Assist in the management of information for Building Warranty submissions and approvals.
  • Assist in the management of information for all for all Testing Regimes, i.e. Building Control Certificates, air/sound tests, SAP/EPCs, CMLs, etc.
  • Assist in the management of information for all O&M Manuals.
  • Assist and advise sales staff in marketing and the preparation of marketing literature and material.
  • Attending Design Team meetings, documenting and issuing Minutes.
  • Attending Technical meetings as required, documenting and issuing Minutes.
  • Issuing DTM action Point reminders to Design Team prior to meetings.
  • Provide information to Technical Manager to raise Purchase Orders.
  • Provide Purchase Orders to for Technical Manager sign-off.
