The new unit comprises of 8 beds, 1 theatre, 4 Recovery Bays, so this is a very exciting time to become a member of our fast-growing Theatre team.We are looking for experienced Theatre Porters with Healthcare Assistant experience to work for our theatre department. The post holder will ensure that professional and national standards are adhered to in the Department.Job Summary:The role as a porter is an Integral part of the theatre team. This post includes transporting patients to and from the wards to the operating theatre, maintaining the high standards of cleanliness required within an operating theatre, disposing of rubbish and other general duties that occur within the department as well as assisting scrub nurses and ODP’s. Applicants should have recent experience of assisting in hospital/outpatient environments. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent healthcare qualification is essential.The successful candidate will be expected to:
