A local school in Brentford are recruiting a Site Manager to work on an on going temporary basis with a possibility of a permanent opportunity.The hours are 8am - 4pm Monday to FridayThe successful Site Manager will be responsible for theschool siteand grounds,ensuring that it is maintained in a safe, clean and secure condition.Duties will include:Co-ordination of Health & Safety ensuring that regulations are followed and adhered to throughout the school and associated risk assessments.Provideadvice, training and assistance in premises related matters including legislation and regulationsThe line management of all premises and cleaning staff including their induction, training and performance managementManaging and monitoring relevant budgetsOrganise and monitor premises staff workloads and shifts including cover for absences, delegating tasks appropriatelyTo act as a key-holder and controlling site keys, routine and non-routine openingResponsibilityfor the maintenance of the school site, utilities,buildings and grounds to a high standardProduceand implement an annual maintenance plan to include service contracts, cyclical and preventative workLiaise with architects and surveyors and assisting in the preparation of outline specifications for alterations and improvements to the buildingsReport on, arrange and oversee any alterations, redecoration, building and maintenance works and specialised repair workArrange and maintain the required school insurances including the administration and follow-up of claimsPrepare and up date as required a list of approved contractors for repairs, maintenance and redecoration, preparing specifications and obtaining tenders, ensuring best valueResponsibility for the security of the site and groundsPromote and co-ordinate lettings of school facilities to ensure that income opportunities are maximisedEnsure all required risk assessments are carried out and completedComplete premises and cleaning staff performance management reviews and the setting of appropriate targetsDeal with any disciplinary issues as required by school procedures and policies and as directed by Line ManagerKeep up to date with relevant legislation and regulations including Health & Safety and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) developments, and communicate relevant information to staffIn order to carry out this role you will be required to have a current DBS and be on the update service.If you are interested in this role and require further details please do contact our office on
