Job Description

Join a Dynamic Team as a Part-Qualified Management Accountant!Are you a driven and ambitious individual seeking a rewarding career opportunity to learn from senior professional across a lovely and family feel culture Look no further!Our company, a leading provider of hydraulic services, is offering an exciting role for a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join our team based in Acton.As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our finance department, working closely with the Financial Controller. We offer a competitive salary of £40,000, along with continued study support to help you achieve your professional qualifications(ACCA, CIMA) with many other benefits such as Cycle to works scheme, gym membership, generous pension + holiday etc.Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for accounts payable, addressing and resolving accounting, employee expense, and invoice queries.
  • Collaborate with various departments to handle outstanding finance queries, ensuring effective communication and timely resolutions.
  • Prepare and report daily sales figures, keeping a close eye on cash flow for the Group.
  • Monitor cost center spend throughout the month, maintaining financial control and providing valuable insights.
  • Prepare and submit the Group VAT return on a quarterly basis, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Month-End Tasks:
  • Process approved strategic rebates and issue credits to franchisees, ensuring accurate accounting and reporting.
  • Prepare bad debt provisions for monthly management accounts, contributing to the overall financial analysis.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register for all entities, tracking valuable assets and facilitating efficient financial management.
  • Process accruals and prepayments for the UK Entity, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Manage franchisee rebates and associated accruals (e.g., Strategic Rebates), providing necessary support and documentation.
  • Conduct a first-line review of the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger, reconciling them to Control Accounts for accuracy.
  • Update the receivables aging report for monthly business support group meetings, assisting in decision-making processes.
  • Prepare management accounts for review by the Financial Controller, providing insightful commentary on month-on-month and budget movements in profit and loss statements.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining financial integrity and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Support the Financial Controller with the review of the board pack, contributing to the overall financial analysis and strategic decision-making.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and SUMIF functions.
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial data and reporting.
  • Enthusiastic studier, committed to completing professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA) is KEY.
  • Strong team player, collaborating effectively with colleagues across departments.
