Job Description

Site Name: UK - London - Brentford, USA - Pennsylvania - Upper ProvidencePosted Date: Jun 30 2020Director, Data Methods and Analytics As Director in the Data, Methods and Analytics team, you will support the GSK Value Evidence and Epidemiology Teams to develop scientifically credible, high quality evidence aligned with the needs of regulators, the scientific community, and decision makers responsible for granting access and reimbursement.This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide scientific, methodological and analytic expertise to execute a portfolio of inhouse studies and analytic projects to meet disease and asset level evidence needs across the GSK portfolio.
  • Serve as the internal methods contact liaising with external experts for outsourced projects where scientific support, technical specification, QA and QC activities are needed.
  • Intake projects that can be delivered inhouse, including supporting all necessary steps for study execution i.e., study design, protocol development and review, programming and analysis, scientific input and results interpretation, and report development.
  • Support project execution including hands on delivery of evidence generation activities including network meta-analyses, match-adjusted indirect treatment comparisons.
  • Support PRO (patient reported outcomes) analysis and re-use of trial data such as post-hoc and meta-analysis, indirect treatment comparisons etc.
  • Participate in the Protocol Review Committee.
  • Develop strong partnerships with various internal stakeholders to identify robust, innovative and efficient methods to conduct value evidence generation studies.
  • Contribute to evidence generation strategy in partnership with internal stakeholders to maximise internal data holdings as well as analytic capability.
  • Why youBasic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Master’s degree in Health Economics or Health Services Research, Medical or Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or Quantitative Decision Sciences.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or other relevant industry, consulting, health services, policy and/or academic environment.
  • Specialized knowledge and application of methods for health economics/ economic evaluation, epidemiology, or methods used for health technology assessment.
  • Hands-on experience and practical knowledge of statistical/analytic software (e.g., R, WinBugs, SAS, STATA).
  • Deep understanding of scientific methodologies employed in health economic studies, (NMA, ITC) epidemiology, regulatory, safety and/or reimbursement requirements for evidence generation (including PROs), and the R&D development process/RWD
