My client is an established supplier to the UK & European High Street, and they are looking for a trend driven, dynamic Womenswear Designer with a proven background in fast fashion, high street, jerseywear. Based full time in a dynamic, creative officein central London, you will work within a small team on trend, mood, colour and product development. You will take autonomy for your area and lead customer meetings/relationships. This is a business with an excellent reputation in the industry that is goingfrom strength to strength, so its a great time to join.Womens Jerseywear Designer - The Role:-Within the team, develop trend and mood boards, including shape, colours, print and fabrics.Designing trend led ranges across Ladies Jersey.Sourcing new fabric and trims in-line with trend at the start and throughout the season.Presenting trend and ranges to buyers and actioning any design requests.Produce detailed tech packs and specs for accurate first-time samples.Monitoring range and customer sampling through from start to finish.Building strong relationships with clients, developing both new and existing accounts.Build relationships with overseas offices Analyse catwalks and competitors, report and spot missed opportunities.Womens Jerseywear Designer - The Candidate:-Proven experience working as a womenswear designer ideally in a supplier environment.Ability to design your own basic prints / graphics is desirable.Confident presenting to clients at all levels.Strong commercial awareness and being up to date with current trends.Good understanding of garment construction to develop samples and ranges effectively.Excellent Attention to detail.Strong CAD skills and capable of producing tech packs and specifications that are easy for factories to understand.Flexibility to travel within the UK, Europe and Far East.If this is of interest then please email your CV and Portfolio examples over to Kat - k.barksby@peoplemarketing,co.uk, (Please keep files below 5MB)*Applications without portfolios may not be considered.We regret that due to the high amount of interest that we receive for each of our vacancies, if you do not hear from one of our consultants within 5 days then unfortunately you have not been shortlisted for this role.Please continue to check our website for any other roles which may be of interest.
