My client is an established Womens sports/athleisure brand, based in Canary Wharf, they are looking for an organised, dynamic and forward thinking apparel designer, to join the team, you will be based full time in the London office and take the lead onall things creative relating to the brand. You will also proactively develop fabrics and trims as well as new shapes and style details seasonally.Womens Activewear/Sportswear Designer - The Role:-Develop trend and mood and colour vision boards, including fabric and trims.Analyse catwalks and competitors, report and spot missed opportunities.Develop commercial, brand appropriate ranges with manufacturers in the far east.Produce clear, detailed tech packs and specs for overseas factories.Build relationships with overseas offices and factoriesPresent collections to management, stakeholders and marketing teams.Manage brand image, launches and seasonal promotions with marketing.Asses and review best and worst sellers and take appropriate actions.Womens Activewear/Sportswear Designer - The Candidate:-Proven experience working within design for sports, activewear.Ability to design your own basic prints / graphics on occasion is desirable.Confident presenting at all levels.Strong garment technical and fabric performance knowledgeCommercial awareness and being up to date with current trends.Excellent CAD skillsPlease include a portfolio with your applicationIf this is of interest then please email your CV and Portfolio examples over to Kat - k.barksby@peoplemarketing,co.uk, (Please keep files below 5MB)*Applications without portfolios may not be considered.We regret that due to the high amount of interest that we receive for each of our vacancies, if you do not hear from one of our consultants within 5 days then unfortunately you have not been shortlisted for this role.Please continue to check our website for any other roles which may be of interest.
