An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Senior Statistician to contribute to a wide and varied range of high priority projects within the Statistics, Modelling and Economics Department at Public Health England.We are seeking an able statistician, with proven high-level statistical abilities, preferably with an interest in infectious disease epidemiology and public health. A degree in mathematics/statistics or a related subject with substantial mathematics content is required along with additional specialist statistical knowledge through a masters degree or PhD. A track record of relevant research is required and demonstration of the ability to solve practical and complex problems. The successful applicant will have the ability to work well in a team with colleagues from a range of disciplines. As many projects are business critical, the post-holder will be responsible for the work to an appropriately high level of analytical quality assurance.
