The Genomics Analysis Cell has been established in PHE / the National Institute for Health Protection (NIHP) as part of the COVID19 pandemic response with the remit to use genomic data generated locally or through COG-UK to help inform policy decisions and support the wider pandemic response through, for example, investigations of specific outbreaks. The post-holder will work as a senior data scientist to lead on analysis of SARS-CoV-2 genomic data, interpretation of analyses and production of reports for dissemination to; local outbreak response teams, the Incident Management Team, JSAT and SAGE.
