SEN Teaching AssistantAre you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in the London borough of Brent, North-West LondonTradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join this Primary School in Brent, North-West London, working within their SEND provision for pupils with Autism. This is a full time, long-term role starting in September 2022 forthe full academic year, paying between £75.00 and £90.00 per day on PAYE.As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be placed in a small classroom of 8 pupils within a KS1 or KS2 group who have a diagnosis of Autism, are high functioning, have a lot of energy and have some behavioural challenges. Generally, you will be providing supportto students in small groups and working alongside the class teacher to help with student engagement, progress and the management of individual behaviour.This SEND provision has a structured, formal adapted curriculum with access to subjects including Literacy and Maths taught daily. Their teaching follows a structured TEACCH approach, and all staff are trained to carry out Attention Autism (Bucket time)sessions to develop pupil attention, focus and spontaneous language development.
