Job Description

Asthe Head of English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in leading the English department and driving academic excellence within the subject. This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced and inspiring individual to make a significant impact on thelearning journey of our students. The position will commence in January.As the Head of English Teacher at Wayman Group, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an outstanding English curriculum, mentoring and supporting teachers, and fostering a love for literature and language among students. We are lookingfor a visionary leader who can motivate and guide both students and staff to achieve their full potential.Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the English department, overseeing the planning, delivery, and assessment of the English curriculum
  • Mentor and support English teachers, providing guidance and professional development opportunities
  • Collaborate with fellow academic leaders to enhance cross-curricular initiatives
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies for improvement
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of English education, incorporating new methodologies and technologies into teaching practices
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding students academic performance and progress
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in English or a related field
  • Teaching certification and relevant teaching experience
  • Proven experience as a Head of English or in a similar leadership role
  • Exceptional knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current educational trends and best practices in English teaching
  • Passion for English education and a commitment to academic excellence
