Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join a team as a Training and Development Officer. You will handle all the learning and professional development of the organisation’s workforce. It will be your job to equip new and existing staff with the knowledge, practical skills, and motivations to carry out their roles effectively. This is what drives their peopleKey Responsibilities of a Training & Development Officer:

  • Creating, designing, and delivering statutory, mandatory, developmental, and organisational training requirements for new and existing staff in all areas of the business.
  • To develop effective induction programmes for new staff.
  • Design and expand training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation and the individual residential homes.
  • Ability to monitor and interpret regulatory requirements from Ofsted
  • Advise and guide learners to make informed choices in relation to their future development, including further qualifications and career progression.
  • Training & Development Officer Requirements:
  • Minimum of Level 3 Qualification in Residential Childcare, CYPW, or equivalent
  • 2 years relevant occupational experience in Residential Child Care / Training position
  • Organise and maintain documentation to demonstrate the progress employees are making.
  • You will have a min of 2 years’ experience of the design and delivery of training within residential childcare.
  • Full Driving license.
  • Excellent training, coaching and time management skills.
