Job Description

Our client, a leading removals company is looking for a Warehouse Operative/Storeman to join their office in Brandon.Who are they looking for

  • Manual handling / loading and unloading - experience is essential
  • A conscientious, physically fit and hard working team player
  • Can work on own initiative
  • Confident on a forklift & reach fork lift - validlicences required
  • Good space awareness
  • Eye for detail, a problem solver and can remain calm during busy periods
  • Able to read and write English - essential
  • Good time-keeping and Flexible
  • Removals indusry experience - desirable
  • Import/ export industry experience - desirable
The Role:
  • Moving and handling heavy goods (Manually & Forklift)
  • Skilled at operating Reach Forklifts to position very large crates within storage facility & stacking 5m+ high within close proximity to one another
  • Loading and unloading trucks/ shipping containers household/ personal possessions with and without the forklift
  • Reading instructions, checking off lists containing locations and manually moving heavy items
  • Full time
  • Permanent
  • Brandon warehouse based
  • Salary - £22,000.00-£26,000.00 - depending on experience & average yearly hours (2444 - 2730 per year)
Days & Hours:
  • Normal days of work: Monday to Friday. (Occasional Saturdays are required at increased rates). Weekend overtime rate available if signed off/ required
  • Hours are not always set - starts from 5am and finish times vary depending on job - can finish late on occasion
