Job Description

Plumber Supervisor - Suffolk - up to £37kWe are looking for a Plumbing Supervisor, with Gas-safe certification, to join a successful organisation based near Brandon, Suffolk.With extensive experience of domestic plumbing and gas systems, a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating and strong IT skills, you will ensure plumbing and heating systems are installed correctly, carry out audits and ensure that installed equipment is fit for purpose and will produce operating procedures for all installations.Key responsibilities as the Plumber Supervisor will include:

  • Ensuring the plumbing and heating systems are installed to design and manufacturers specifications and in line with current legislation
  • Carrying out audits on the quality of workmanship, ensuring that the installed equipment is fit for purpose
  • Ensuring legislative compliance is achieved in regards to all plumbing and heating systems
  • Producing Standard Operating Procedures for all the plumbing and heating installations
  • Working with the design team to suggest alternative components and/or systems
  • Mentoring and guiding apprentice plumbers to ensure that they receive the necessary training to complete their NVQ portfolio
  • Working with the technical team on design options/restrictions to ensure compliance with BS3632
  • Giving technical help and advice to the Customer Service (after-sales) team and assist them in dealing with any plumbing and heating technical issues that customers may have.This may require occasional site visits
  • Supervising the plumbing and heating team and deal with any staff issues related to capability, absence and discipline

    • What we’re looking for:
  • Extensive experience of domestic plumbing and gas systems
  • Gas-safe certification
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Line management / supervisory experience
  • Good communication skills
