Job Description

Brandon based manufacturing business is looking to appoint a Health & Safety Manager. You will plan, direct and co-ordinate company activities to ensure compliance with all Health & Safety standards. Oversee the day-to-day management of the H & S proceduresensuring the Company always remains compliant.Your key duties will include the following:

  • Create, implement, administer, and enforce policies, procedures and laws required.
  • Assist with business development and success of current and new product development.
  • Cost-effective and efficient methods for meeting H & S requirements attained
  • Timely review of all H & S requirements.
  • Accurate documentation for all issues to ensure we always meet contractual requirements.
  • Timely inspection of plant and equipment as required to ensure safe equipment and systems of work in place.
  • Writing all appropriate risk assessments, safe systems of working and coshh
  • Accident investigation and management
  • Claims management
  • Company H & S inductions
  • Ensuring all staff are kept up to date with training requirements, in-house and external.
Skills needed:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or construction environment
  • NEBOSH/Health and safety training/certification an advantage.
  • Good Health, Safety and Environmental awareness
  • High level of integrity
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Resilient and reliable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Personable and approachable with the ability to build effective relationships.
