Job Title: Facilities and Maintenance OperativeBased at: Huntingdon RacecourseContract type: PermanentHours: 40 hours per week, any 5 days from 7The successful applicant will be required to produce high quality, reactive maintenance and repair work at the Racecourse. Providing general maintenance services such as decorating, carpentry, plumbing, fencing, plastering and ground works.Role summary Key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:• carrying out planned maintenance projects in and around the Racecourse • helping plan and verify any technical details that may be required in the preparation of project works• working from height (ladders, steps and towers), and work with any site owned equipment, plant and machinery where required, complying at all times with the relevant health and safety regulations and safe working practices • complying with all COSHH regulations relating to paint, white spirit, dyes and wood preservatives, ensuring compliance with the appropriate Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices at all times.• liaising with the Operations and Events Executive weekly to establish a prioritised work list for the week• continuously checking and monitoring racecourse facilities, highlighting areas that require reactive maintenance repairs and improvements.• To be part of the out of hours on call teamDue to the nature of this role, there will be a requirement to be available some weekends and evenings, as and when required. Travel to other racecourses within the Region may also be required, so it is essential that the successful candidate holds a full driving licence and has access to a vehicle.Please apply via our website, the closing date for applications is the 2nd June 2021.
