Job Description

The RAC is looking for an experienced Senior Copywriter to join the Creative Studio within the Brand & Communications team within Group Marketing on a permanent basis. This is a flexible hybrid role, working from home three daysa week and two days at our Bradley Stoke office in Bristol.The Brand & Communications team is responsible for the consistent definition and execution of the RAC brand across all customer touchpoints. In this role, youll lead the way in owning and developing the RACs unique tone of voice, internally, externally,online and offline.What Youll Do

  • Take the lead on the RAC tone of voice - ensuring copy is always on brand
  • Develop creative copy for campaign design concepts
  • Write clear and concise copy across all media (rac.co.uk, DM, digital display, press and more)
  • Create compelling copy that engages the target audience and encourages the desired outcome
  • Pitch copy ideas to stakeholders and internal clients
  • Employ SEO principles for maximum copy reach
  • Interpret creative briefs to understand key copywriting requirements
  • Collaborate with designers to ensure imagery and copy is integrated for maximum marketing impact
  • Line manage the RACs copywriting team
  • Promote a service delivery culture towards internal clients, establishing a can-do, collaborative attitude across the team
What Youll NeedTo be considered for this role, a qualification in journalism, marketing or similar is preferred but not necessary. Youll also need a strong commercial understanding of what this role entails. Were looking for someone who has the following;
  • 4+ years experience in creative ad copywriting - agency or in-house
  • Extensive experience writing advertising copy for digital and print
  • Expertise in short copy and the understanding that every word must matter
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and internal clients
  • Strong understanding of direct response principles - and extensive experience in developing direct response copy
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and accessibility principles
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent editing & proof-reading skills
  • Line management experience, or a desire to progress into a line manager role
  • Experience in a financial services environment is preferred
