Job Description

We are currently looking to appoint a Transport Operator ideally across the 1pm-10pm shift pattern Monday - Friday this is a permanent position as well and succession plan for future roles here at Advanced would be Transport Manager which would lead intoAssistant General Manager Transport then into General Manager Transport.Client DetailsOur client is a leading International Logistics business moving over 200 million products every single year. Due to a recent promotion in the team, we are looking for a Transport Team Leader to join our team in Bradford.Description

  • Ensuring delivery schedules are achieved
  • Ensuring all administrative traffic duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism
  • Monitoring planned schedules ahead of time and escalating any issues if needed to ensure a smoothly ran process
  • Ensuring that details of vehicle accidents are escalated to line management
  • Achieving weekly and monthly KPIs as set by the business and/or Customer Service Level Agreements, escalating any issues impacting on these to line management and customers directly
  • Using all IT-based systems in the effective delivery of their role including ATMS, WIP, Debrief & tracking screens
ProfileThe successful candidate will live within a commutable distance to Bradford and hold the following attributes:
  • Previous experience in a Transport environment at either an administrative/Clerk/Team Leader level.
  • Understanding of working knowledge of driver hours regulation
  • Confidence to work with various IT Systems and especially working with data in Excel
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Experience in an operational role in a logistics or haulage business would be ideal but not necessary
