Job Description

  • An opportunity for an experienced Transport Coordinator
  • A growing team based in Bradford within a family run business
    • Client DetailsMy client focuses on General Haulage and storage nationally across the country. Based in Bradford, the company has report large scale grow in both revenue and profits over the last half-decade. They are now looking to expand their operation and bring on board like-minded individuals.DescriptionThe successful Transport Coordinator - Sub-contraction will report directly into the Managing Director and will be responsible for the following areas:
  • Assist in negotiating rates with both customers and transport providers
  • Focus on providing efficiencys within the transport network, in order to maximise profits
  • Aim to plan for around 35 fleet size
  • Team size of four and growing
  • General Administrative duties
  • Successfully plan a large national transport network
  • Head count of around 45 people within a family run business
  • Aim to plan loads in the most profitable way, but driving efficiencys
  • Haulage Experience
  • One in Four on call weekends
    • ProfileThe ideal candidate for my client is a Transport Coordinator - Sub-contraction vacancy will desirable have the following skills set:
  • Experience planning transport networks with over multiple movements per-week.
  • Ability to commute within the wider Bradford area.
  • A flair for customer service
  • Experience of working to deadlines in a time-critical logistics environment
  • A willingness to learn
  • A drive to succeed and better targets
  • Desire to work with Stirling Transport System
    • Job Offer Whats on Offer
  • £25,000-£28,000
  • Pension
  • Shift work between the hours of 06:00 - 18:00 Mon - Fri
  • Currently operate 3 shifts, one of them being an on call shift every 4th week
  • 28 days holiday per year including statutory days
  • On site secure parking
