Our client is a well- established international freight forwarder who are now looking for an experienced European Road Import Clerk to join their growing Bradford branch.For over 150 years my client has been handling export and import shipping requirements throughout Europe and Worldwide. Their reputation is based on their caring, customer focused service and competitive pricingWorking within a busy road freight groupage import operation. The successful applicant would be required to liaise with clients, hauliers and agents planning groupage consignments from Europe.Duties- Taking booking by telephone and email- Providing quotations for new and existing clients- Completing Import documentation, arranging transport and negotiating rates- Dealing with customer queries and complaints- Liaising with overseas agents and hauliers- Raising delivery notes and invoicesQualification & Skills- Experience in European road freight import operations along with a knowledge of customs procedures - The ability to work in fast paced and pressurised environment- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written- Good level of computer literacy, a good standard of education and a clear and pleasant telephone manner Full training would be given in the use of our in-house computer systems.Benefits Salary Circa £25,000Monday - Friday 9am to 5.30 pm /1 hour for lunch.
