Job Description

Support WorkerTemporary until February 202134 hours Bradford (BD1)I am working on behalf of a Housing Association, who are recruiting for a temporary Support Worker to work across dispersed properties in Bradford, as well as within a hostel based settingThe 2 week rotating shift pattern is as follows:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (8am-5pm) with Thursday and Friday OffSaturday, Sunday (8am-5pm) with Monday, Tuesday Off, then Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (8am-5pm)Key responsibilities of the Support Worker:

  • Supporting tenants with vulnerable needs including those with mental health, substance misuse, and offending issues
  • Visiting clients living within their own properties, as well as within a hostel based setting
  • Encouraging tenancy sustainment
  • Creating and updating client support plans
  • Ensuring a swift turnaround of void properties
  • Advising on rent arrears, benefits and housing
  • Signposting client to services and agencies within the community
    • Required skills and experience of the Support Worker:
  • A valid driving licence and own transport
  • An enhanced DBS is essential
  • Experience working with a similar client group
  • Ability to work the allocated shift pattern, which includes weekends
