Job Description

We`re looking for a Senior Manager for our Corporate Tax Operation in Bradford on a permanent contract.The Senior Manager, Corporate Tax Operations will be responsible for building and overseeing the tax operations team responsible for compliance and reporting activities performed within Liberty Shared Services (LSS) on behalf of its customers. This willinclude agreeing delivery requirements with customers and delivering a service in line with those expectations with a focus on driving a culture of continuous process improvement and efficiency enabled by technology. In addition, this role will be responsiblefor scaling the services provided by this team across the Liberty Global federation and third parties.Some of your responsibilities will include:Work with customer’s tax and accounting teams to understand enterprise operational requirements for tax processes including detailing tax processes and organization, analyzing tax data/calculations/reports, and understanding technology environment and interfacesin order to develop the most efficient organisational structure and limit possible exposures and/or errorsFunctions as point of contact for all customer service delivery issuesAccountable for the governance model in place for service delivery towards customers (e.g. the design and maintenance of scorecards, KPI monitoring, issue resolution and overall rules of engagement/operating framework)Manage a single direct report with a team below this role (currently 3 roles)Ensure the team work seamlessly with other LSS teams, customers and in particular the LG Tax teams to ensure that Tax technical items are correctly reflected in the Tax returnsExpand the scope of the LSS Tax team to other/new customers by demonstrating the potential value of the serviceThe teamThe overall objective of the Team is to provide a Tax return service which helps our customers to follow all applicable tax laws and regulations, file all of their tax returns on time and to pay the right amount of tax, when due, in each of the territorieswhere they do business.Our Team engage with the appropriate accounting, tax, commercial, legal and treasury teams in order to ensure that our goals are met. We aim to provide services that cover multiple local jurisdictions where the tax rules are complex and compliance obligationsdiffer from territory to territory.Our LSS Tax team is based in Bradford, UK.
