Job Description

Are you interested in being a SEN TeacherCan you inspire curiosity in all types of learnersCan you foster creativity and critical thinking in the classroomIf so, youre in the right place!Were looking for a SEN Teacher to support children from ages 11-19 at a specialist school in the BD10 area. As a successful candidate, you will understand the learning styles and capabilities and alter delivery styles for all pupils to understand the lesson.You will also be responsible for providing emotional support whenever required and enthusing children to follow positive behaviour plans.Responsibilities:

  1. This role is for passionate teachers who can support pupils with special needs to learn.
  2. Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to students with challenging behaviour.
  3. Manage behaviour effectively and build positive learning relationships with pupils.
  4. Work in groups or 1:1 to understand the specific learning needs of pupils.
  5. Encourage and engage pupils with classroom activities.
Requirements:
  1. QTS or equivalent.
  2. Experience teaching pupils with a range of emotional and learning needs.
  3. An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service.
