Working in partnership with a leading UK & European manufacturing company based in West Yorkshire we have a very exciting opportunity for a proven Production Supervisor, with expansive manufacturing experience to join the team. As an expanding business,this role is a key part of that growth plan, expanding their existing market share and moving into new markets. This integral position which will be key to maintaining product quality and managing time efficiencies.To be successful in this role you will: Be in charge of production and smooth running of the shop floor Ensure all production processes are in line with the company and regulatory requirements Responsible for and support of all Charge Hands Complete all required paperwork and documentation for reporting and compliance Conduct training and maintain employee training records. Ensuring all employees all fully trained and in line with all Health and Safety requirements Be highly organised with the ability to prioritise a diverse workload Support production activity and planning Report and work closely with the Operations Manager in ensuring that business objectives are met Responsible for product quality and time efficiencies Communicate expectations to the team, to ensure lead times are met, all the time maintaining quality standards Regularly checking the machinery and checkpoints to ensure safe and efficient workflow Managing the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment Be forward thinking, with the ability to implement processes and procedures to support the efficiency of the company Be confident and capable to carry out the role and support the shop floor where needed Be an integral part of a small successful team, who will be keen and able turn your hand to a variety tasks as and when requiredThe successful candidate will need: Excellent communication skills both verbally and written Be able to liaise across the team and broader group Strong organisational skills and time management Lead a team, train, recruit and conduct reviews and appraisals Previous experience within a similar role within a manufacturing environment essentialIn return you will receive a salary between £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, 22days annual leave plus bank holidays and other great company benefits. Monday to Fridasy 8am/4pm - must be flexibleUnity Personnel are acting as an Employment Business in respect of this role.
