Job Description

Role: Product and Range Manager Location: Bradford Salary: Up to £42k per annum Hours: Monday to Friday 35 hours per week (hybrid working offered) Were looking for a new Product and Range Manager to join our team. Youll be responsible for the on-going management of our customer model lines, including ensuring all systems are accurate and up to date, the maintenance of product lifecycle codes and the management of new SKUs through the design studio all the way to productplacement.The role is responsible for the commercialisation of range builds, briefing New Product Development in-line with each individual customer strategy. You will work with various teams across the business to bring to life our creative vision and ultimately deliverit to market. You will continuously analyse performance and identify and action any necessary trading activity, ensuring ranges meet the consumer needs and are the most efficient and profitable.Your Responsibilities

  • Delivery of insight led, market leading product ranges, working in partnership with the relevant commercial team to set the principles and ensure it delivers against agreed objectives.
  • Execute range builds, within a range strategy including architecture, pricing, and fixture/display layout, including:
o Ability to use insight and sales data to identify product swaps and gaps for range buildso Build within architecture constraints, make recommendations and capture data for financial roll upso Ensure overall range is profitable and aligned to financial targetso Understand retailer strategy, shopper and market, and competitive landscapeo Brief VM team to implement changes and align to agreed ranging principleso Action trade activity to maximise opportunity, including:o Self-servicing with sales datao Identify trading intervention and activity
  • Collaborate with supply partners on supplier SLAs (service level agreements) to deliver right first time, right quality, right cost & on time
  • In conjunction with Senior Product and Range manager, complete workbook ready for PO sign off
  • Drive efficient ways of working, utilising digital technology for range builds
  • Work with relevant creative teams to bring to life New Development which fulfills the need of the customer
  • Work stringently to COP targets to ensure any new products are profitable
  • Keep up with manufacturing processes to ensure most efficient use of materials and finishes are used and costs are controlled
To be successful you will need:
  • Excellent organisation, prioritization and problem-solving skills
  • To be able to articulate and quantify risks and opportunities
  • Comfortable with insight driven decision making, data management and reporting for varying levels of audience
  • To be flexible, resourceful and resilient
  • Education/experience within a product development/marketing discipline
  • Experience delivering a strategy to fixed objectives and KPIs
  • Experience building product ranges and articulating the rationale behind selections
  • Experience managing internal stakeholders
  • Commercial acumen and experience of delivering profitable products within KPIs
  • Experience self-servicing with sales data to identify trends, give trading commentary and propose trading activity and intervention
  • Knowledge and experience of retailer range validation – APO, price and product mix, variance vs. previous seasons
  • Comfortable using Excel and other data management related software tools
