Job Description

Job Title: PR & Communications ManagerLocation: Bradford, West Yorkshire (Office Based)Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum, depending on experienceJob type: Full Time, PermanentA bit about us:Based in central Bradford, we are a leading manufacturer of innovative own brand, products designed to challenge the market. With over 25 years in the business, we now have four dedicated office spaces including a production office in China and support inIndia.Now, we are gearing up to shake the electronic and health and beauty industries to their core with the introduction of two new brands and a multitude of different and exciting products, and that is just the beginning.About the role:As the Press and Communications Manager, you play a key role in the planning and delivery of reactive and proactive media plans; identify potential news stories, craft press releases, draft responsive media comments, build your own network of journalists,deliver successful media interventions and undertake media monitoring.What your Day might look like.

  • Produce informative, creative content for a range of channels that communicates our mission and helps to engage and influence key decision-makers including drafting articles, blogs, newsletters, briefings, case studies and producing or sourcing accompanyingmultimedia content
  • Plan advertising campaigns, including which media to advertise in, such as radio, television, print, online media, and billboards. Prepare budgets and submit estimates for program costs as part of campaign plan development
  • Plan and prepare advertising and promotional material to increase sales of products or services, working with customers, company officials, sales departments, and advertising agencies
  • Initiate market research studies and analyse their findings to understand customer and market opportunities for businesses
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products
  • Provide presentation and product demonstration support during the introduction of new products and services to field staff as well as office-based staff and customers
About you:
  • You must have previously worked in a similar role for 4+ years and have a strong track record of writing, designing, and coordinating content, promotional material across a range of channels
  • Be a creative thinker and problem solver with an ability to multitask various projects simultaneously and have a thorough understanding of all social channels
  • Experience of managing marketing or communications in a commercially driven environment
  • Technical understanding of print (press, leaflets), digital (display, social) and/or broadcast (TV, radio) production is preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment and to tight deadlines with a very high degree of accuracy. High attention to detail is essential
  • Numerical, presentation and verbal skills; a clear and strong communicator
  • Experience of managing internal and external communications, working with and developing media relationships, drafting and managing press releases and speaking to journalists
  • Experience of managing budgets effectively
  • Ability to achieve results through working independently and within a team environment
