Job Description

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer BradfordMorning ShiftsMon-Thurs (04:30-13:00) & Friday (06:00-14:30)£35,000 - £40,000We are looking for a motivated maintenance engineer acting as sole engineer to join a market leading food manufacturing company. Reporting directly to the engineering manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. Youwill be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supportedby a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.Role Description

  • Working on the following equipment: Steam and Thermal Oil Boilers, Compressed Air, Ammonia Plant, Grinders, Mixers, Industrial Ovens, Industrial Fryer, Spiral Freezer, Packaging Equipment.
  • To implement and maintain the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) system at the site, ensuring all PPM works orders are completed in line with the schedule in order to achieve the Company objective relating to PPM.
  • To manage a stock control system to ensure that all necessary spare parts, materials and equipment are available.
  • To understand and adhere to all Company procedures and policies relating to food safety and hygiene practices, including the HACCP system.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Apprentice Trained or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical Engineering, BTEC level 3 in Mechanical & Electrical/Electronic Engineering)
  • IEE qualification up to 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Proven track record in an engineering and fault finding role gained from within a FMCG environment (ideally Food Industry).
  • Understanding of HACCP principles.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing & PLC programming is advantageous.
