  • £14 per hour (equating to £28,932 per annum)

As such, this is an exciting opening that you will definitely not want to miss out on…About the Role:Reporting to the Production and Quality Manager, the Plasterboard Fitter will have the following duties and responsibilities:
  • General factory work
  • Plaster boarding steel frame wall structures
  • Use of hand tools (powered and non powered) to carry out general MMC tasks
  • Overhead gantry operation (full training to be provided)
  • Work strictly to drawings only deviating when approved to do so
  • Be punctual and reliable at all times
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
  • Advise supervisor of any sub-standard materials
  • Check quality of own work and co-operate with formal QC and supervisor on work
  • Supporting colleagues with their work
  • Inform supervisor/management of any improvements that you deem necessary
  • Other tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department
Skills and Experience Required:It is crucial that applicants have at least 2 years of plasterboarding experience. The following will enable you to hit the ground running in the role:
  • A general knowledge and ability to carry out construction tasks
  • Ability to read from, understand and translate drawing information
  • Tape and jointing an advantage but not necessary
  • Basic Maths and English skills
