Job Description

My client is a leading provider of corrugated packaging within the UK and are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to look after their packaging equipment, which includes Casemakers, Gluers, and Die Cutters. This is a great opportunity for an engineer to put theirown stamp on the company as well as working in a fast paced and growing environment.Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)£32,000 - £36,000 plus OTLeedsResponsibilities include:

  • Great mechanical understanding
  • Some electrical fault-finding works
  • You will effectively lead and service and repair the machinery equipment & assets. You will be required to work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and computerized systems.
  • Must be able to comfortably read mechanical diagrams and basic electrical.
  • Experience of dealing with installations, commissioning, PPM and general breakdowns.
  • To look after a small team and guide them in their day-to-day duties
  • Some PLC experience would be advantageous especially if you can fault find.
  • Experience with 3 phase motors, relays and invertors would be ideal, but not essential.
Essential:
  • Strong customer service skills
  • 2+ years experience in packaging or related industry
  • Strong mechanical background with some electrical experience.
  • A related qualification in mechanical engineering or similar
  • City & Guilds experience is welcome
