Job Description

Our client is a Managed Service provider based in Bradford who are looking to add a passionate IT Support Engineer to their engineering team! As the IT Support Engineer, you will have an understanding of the following skills- Linux, DNS, VPN, IT Support, Customer Support, Ubuntu and CentOS.Role Requirements:You would be working for a small but growing IT team covering mainly the Yorkshire area. The job role will require the winning candidate to:

  • Look after our Clients base of customers both pro-actively and also as they raise a support ticket.
  • Build computers and servers.
  • Install IT equipment in customer premises and install and maintain their own IT systems.
  • Configure routers, firewalls, servers, email & domain services.
  • Collaborate in meetings where you can put forward ideas and be involved with decisions and research when it comes to new technology and customer requirements.
  • Essential Requirements:
  • Over 3 years’ experience in an IT helpdesk environment with good communication skills, excellent time management and driven who can work well both solo and in a team.
  • Clean UK Driving Licence.
  • Must be able to install, configure, maintain and support Server 2012 to 2019 in all editions and restore an operating system from a backup.
  • Must be al to install, configure, maintain and support Microsoft Exchange from 2010 to 2019
  • Must be able to setup a 365 domain, assign licenses and use online Exchange and configure
  • Hybid on-premises servers to 365 and |Azure cloud-based services.
  • Be able to install, use, configure and navigate Active Directory, Microsoft DHCP & DNS Roles,Group Policy, Virtualisation tools (VMware & Hyper-V), Backup tools, Centrally Managed Anti-Virus & Microsoft Office applications.
  • Have good knowledge and understanding of creating a TCP/IP network including subnetting, virtual private networks, VLAN’s, firewalls and routers.
  • Ideally a good grasp of Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, Windows Operating Systems, Linux & Mac systems, multi-function photocopiers (scan to email, folder etc.)
