Job Description

The UK Group is currently looking to recruit an ambitious and highly motivated Internal Controls Analyst to join the UK compliance team to focus on the groups compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOx) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).Client DetailsThe business are a global retail business.DescriptionThe Internal Controls Analyst should;

  • Work closely with the UK Financial Controllers and European Compliance team,
  • Promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance, proactively engaging with the business to drive best practise.
  • Maintenance and updating of the groups risk control matrix
  • Maintaining and monitoring the central storage of evidence of SOx controls and their completeness
  • Supporting local Financial Controllers in the quality of their work and specifically the supporting evidence in respect of the completion of controls
  • Testing the completeness of controls on a sample basis
  • Support of UK finance staff to understand compliance levels required
  • Monitoring the controls confirmation process
ProfileThe successful Internal Controls Analyst should be an;
  • Enthusiastic individual that is keen to learn and continue their personal development
  • Formal accountancy training and qualification preferred, but not essential
  • Experience of working in a SOx compliant environment
  • Very high attention to detail and adherence to processes
  • Understanding of the key principles of GDPR preferable
  • Understanding of the PCI-DSS desirable
  • Ability to prioritise own work to tight deadlines
  • Team player, keen to become a part of a growing and dynamic senior finance department
  • Ability to build good working relationships with finance & operational teams third party provider and external auditors
  • Ability to compile, analyse and review data to a high level of accuracy
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbally
  • A full UK drivers licence
