In this role you will be responsible for the ongoing management and reporting of the liquidity and market risk positionsused across the Society. You will have direct line management responsibility for the analysts within the team and support their personal development.This is a great opportunity to join our team and shape not just the role, but the internal culture. Flexibility can be discussed.About the role

  • Stakeholder management to ensure appropriate knowledge and understanding of the liquidity and market risk reports and metrics.
  • Direct line management of analysts within team, in addition to supporting their personal development.
  • Providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in the management and running of the liquidity and market risk models and processes, in line with external regulation and internal risk appetite, both day to day and through longer term planning and forecasting.
  • Responsibility for managing requests from within the business for analysis to support their activities.
  • Working across all areas of the department to support the delivery of internal management information, regulatory returns (including ILAAP) and supporting the risk management strategies.
  • Play an active role in the team, assisting the Senior Manager to steer strategic direction of the team and create a positive risk management culture.
About you
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of asset & liability or balance sheet management.
  • Good knowledge of Treasury risk management practices and principles.
  • Good knowledge and experience of regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Great problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency with various MS Office programmes (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong stakeholder and engagement skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Experience leading and developing others, even if not in a direct line management role.
