Job Description

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will manage the IT Infrastructure - including Microsoft Windows Server platforms and related technologies, storage, backup, archive, virtualisation, desktop infrastructure and voice and data networks across the organisation.Client DetailsMichael Page are delighted to be partnered with a leading wholesale business based in Bradford to help support with the recruitment of a Infrastructure Engineer.DescriptionWhat youll be doingAs an Infrastructure Engineer you will manage the IT Infrastructure - including Microsoft Windows Server platforms and related technologies, storage, backup, archive, virtualisation, desktop infrastructure and voice and data networks across the organisation.Working with the hosting provider, 2nd line support teams, Solutions Architect and Project team (and following the ITIL framework) the IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the day to day management, troubleshooting, maintenance and technical developmentof the entire IT infrastructure to ensure availability and stability of all IT systems.Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with and partner closely with the wider IT Team, in particular the infrastructure operations team and Project team
  • Management and responsibility for the availability and stability of the IT systems
  • Responsible for the effective maintenance of all IT systems and devices
  • Provide timely and effective reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure
  • Responsible for the delivery of project related technical change
  • Managing internal and 3rd party resources
ProfileKey Skills & Experience:
  • In depth understanding of current IT infrastructure concepts and technologies with the proven ability to implement and support
    • Microsoft Windows Server platforms and related technologies
      • Server 2008R2/12/16
      • Exchange
      • Active Directory & Group Policy
  • Vitualisation (VMware)
  • Office 365
  • New deployments, upgrades, migrations and security patching
  • Desktop infrastructure (including laptop Operating System Gold builds, HP Thin Clients and Mobile Phones)
  • Citrix XenDesktop
  • Cloud based Internet Proxy & Email Gateway
Job OfferSalary: £45,000 - £50,0000 + (£5,000 Car Allowance)
