Job Description

Our client, based in West Yorkshire, is currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker on a temporarycontract for two to three months. The position is on a rota basis covering 40 hours a week, from Monday to Sunday, 8:00am - 6:00pm.The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position.The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable service users, hold an Enhanced DBS within the last 3 years and a full UK driving license.Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Offer accommodation and housing-related support for people with multiple or complex needs who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless
  • Managing a caseload of 9 clients and maintaining regular contact with them all using face to face meeting
  • Cleaning flats to reduce void times when necessary
  • Supporting clients to become Tenancy Ready and make a sustainable move to longer-term housing
  • Working constructively with clients through Support and Risk Management Plans to address their needs
  • Ensuring that clients are safeguarded and protected from abuse in their home and in the community
  • Encouraging clients to behave in ways that do not create neighbourhood nuisances or are considered anti-social
  • Providing a supportive atmosphere for clients, encouraging feedback on the service, welcoming complaints and responding appropriately
  • Encouraging and supporting clients to address their health needs and improve their health and well-being
  • Experiencerequired:
  • Working with vulnerable service users
  • Able to complete risk assessments and support plans to a high level
  • Working hours:
  • 40 hours per week
  • Shift Rota Basis, Monday - Friday 8am-6pm
