Job Description

Finance Manager required for an SME business in Saltaire who are passionate about employee wellbeing, have daily keep fit classes for those who enjoy it, occasional massage therapistson site, charity daysand allow well behaved dogs to come in to the office.This role has responsibility for managing the month end process in Finance and supporting the Business administration team. Reporting to the Managing Director, with a dotted line to the part time CFO, you will need to provide them with first-class financialreporting, control, planning and analysis within a framework of prudent and effective controls.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly consolidated management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, with meaningful analysis against budget and updated forecasts, as required in a timely manner and presented to appropriate professionalstandards
    • Prepare Management accounts monthly
    • Produce weekly margin report
    • Preparation and analysis of overheads
    • Posting month end journals including accruals, prepayments and depreciation
    • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
    • Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Liaise with the external accountants to co-ordinate and prepare the annual statutory accounts.
  • Provide analysis and support to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team
  • Take responsibility for the accounting processes
  • Maintain financial system to ensure accuracy of management information to include; management and financial accounts
  • Assist in preparation and consolidation of Budgets working with the Business Units.
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Management of auto enrolment pension scheme
  • Run the internal staff payroll and calculate commissions.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and manage the relationship with external finance providers
  • Support cashflow management
  • Maintain process documentation for all Finance tasks and ensure sharing of knowledge across the Finance team.
  • Manage and develop the Finance Team
