A brand new vacancy with an academy for a Finance Manager. The role will involve managing a small team of finance employees and working closely with the CFO in relation to all aspects of finance management.Client DetailsPage Personnel are representing an excellent organisation in the education sector. This is a brand new position as part of a restructure in the finance department.DescriptionResponsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to, supporting the CFO with efficient and accurate financial processing to support the preparation of timely, accurate reporting to stakeholders across the organisation, as well as managing a small finance team.The role will involve regular reviewing of bank reconciliations; ensuring the weekly payment runs in each entity are reviewed, signed off and released from the bank on a timely basis; preparation of sales invoices ensuring the VAT treatment for each income stream is in line with the HMRC regulations; monitoring debtor balances.The role will involve managing and overseeing all month end process, including balance sheet reconciliations for bank, creditor and debtor ledgers; review of expenditure to identify accruals, prepayments and fixed assets; and maintaining the fixed asset register.You will also support the CFO with a number of duties including quarterly preparation of VAT partial exemption calculations; contributing to preparation of monthly reporting pack to a board of trustees; and preparation of the year end statutory accounts and the external audit process.ProfileCandidates wishing to apply to the role of Finance Manager should have:
