Job Description

EAL Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated EAL Teaching Assistant to join a respected secondary school in Bradford. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about providing tailored support to students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and contributingto a multicultural and diverse educational environment. Day to Day of the role:
  • Provide individualised support to students with EAL, enhancing their language skills and academic performance.
  • Work in partnership with teachers to develop and implement educational strategies tailored to the needs of each student.
  • Create and maintain an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment that encourages language development and skill acquisition.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and materials to support students’ learning and engagement.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of students, adapting strategies as needed to optimise learning outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working with EAL students in a secondary school setting.
  • A strong commitment to fostering multiculturalism and diversity within the school.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage learners.
  • A collaborative approach to working with teaching staff and contributing to the school community.
