Job Description

3rd Line Support Engineer will be part of the IT Operations team responsible for managing all aspects of the IT Infrastructure. Additionally, managing and ensuring compliance with the latest security patching across all platforms and responding to securityalerts.Client DetailsMichael Page are delighted to be partnered with a leading wholesaler based in Bradford to help support with the recruitment of a 3rd Line Support Engineer.DescriptionWhat youll be doing3rd Line Support Engineer will be part of the IT Operations team responsible for managing all aspects of the IT Infrastructure. Additionally, managing and ensuring compliance with the latest security patching across all platforms and responding to securityalerts.Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and responsibility for the availability, stability and performance of the IT systems
  • Managing internal and 3rd party resources
  • Responsible for maintaining up to date security patching across all IT systems and devices
  • Responsible for business as usual and proactive technical change
  • Participation in Major incident (including security incident) resolution
  • Effective documentation and maintaining all IT related technical documents
ProfileKey Skills & Experience:
  • Positively managing planned and unplanned downtime with the business both during operational hours and outside of operational hours
  • Work with and partner closely with the wider IT Team, in particular the Infrastructure Project team and IT Support team
  • Virtualisation (VMWare)
  • Microsoft Windows Server platforms and related technologies
  • Server 2008R2/12/16
  • Exchange
  • Active Directory & Group Policy
  • SQL database
  • Voice and data network
  • New deployments, upgrades, migrations and security patching
  • Ability to work independently with little management direction
