Job Description

I am delighted to present you with an exciting opportunity for one of my leading public sector clients who are looking for a Portfolio Analyst to join their team in SolihullThis is a hybrid role2 days a week in officeThe successful candidate will be responsible of managing the change portfolio to deliver both financial and non-financial benefits within the budget, ensuring suitable project methodology and governance process is followed and continually improved.You will also be expected to Portfolio Lead to implement and operate a pan governance framework including the organisation and facilitation of working groups and assuring compliance to project methodology and business case.Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare portfolio reports for Executive Management Team in line with governance process
  • Manage, analyse, and report project and portfolio data including the identification of risks, opportunities, issues, and dependencies
  • Support the Portfolio Lead to manage the monthly portfolio projects review process
  • Support the Portfolio Lead to create and implement a pan governance framework
  • Facilitate/lead pan working groups
  • Collect weekly / monthly project reports and consolidate
  • Conduct project audits with project and delivery managers across
  • Act an administrator for Project Online and represent the portfolio office at the technical review committee
  • Champion portfolio and project governance and ensure buy in and adherence across
  • Maintain up-to-date list of all projects being delivered across
Your skills and Experience will include:
  • Experience in a PMO function/Portfolio Analyst/Project Coordinator/Junior Project Manager or comparable role
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Sharepoint
  • APM/Prince 2 foundation (desirable)
  • Experience of Microsoft Project and Project Online (desirable)
  • Demonstratable understanding of project and portfolio methodologies including full lifecycle management and project prioritisation
  • Strong communication skills and confidence to present complex information in a concise and effective way to a variety of audiences.
  • Able to facilitate/chair working groups and meetings
  • Able to influence project team members to ensure consistency of approach.
