Job Description

TEACHING ASSISTANTS REQUIRED FOR OCTOBER 2023!Salary Range: £17,850 to £19,251 per annum (Actual for 5 days) - (pending nationally agreed pay increase), depending on age and experience.Job Positions: 5 days per week (32.5 hours) or 1 position 4 days per week (26 hours). Term time only + INSET.Due to expansion of the SEN Department at Spalding Academy and Giles Academy, a number of Teaching Assistant vacancies have arisen for October 2023. Working as an integral part of the SEN Team, the successful candidates must:

  • Be willing to undertake personal care training or is trained and has experience of it;
  • Be a team player;
  • Be assertive;
  • Be pro-active;
  • Show initiative;
  • Adopt a consistent approach to all students;
  • Be flexible in their approach to their working hours;
  • Have a sense of humour.
Essential for the post is the ability to establish mutually respectful and supportive relationships with our students. The work will be challenging but rewarding and experience of working with students of secondary school age would be an advantage althoughnot essential, as would NVQ2 or above. Notwithstanding this, we would consider personality and commitment of the utmost importance.
