Robert Half are delighted to be partnered with our client on their search for an interim Financial AccountantPlacement is 6-8 months, hybrid with one day from homeSalary on offer is between 40-45k DOEMust Have: - Professional accountancy qualification or finalistExperience in financial accounts including month end submissions, cash flow forecasting and balance sheet controlGood organisational skills in order to deliver against tight business & financial deadlinesThe ability to analyse and communicate financial information to non-financial personnel, providing recommendations and guidance where necessaryPrevious experience of liaising with auditors and other external groups.Experience with Control EnvironmentsExcellent PC and analytical skillsFlexible attitude to working hoursTeam management - the ability to coach and mentor othersRole Accountabilities: - Performance Reporting - To support/manage the periodic reporting process, ensuring that the information generated is used to challenge performance and drive actionControl Environment - To assist in improving financial control systems. Monitor the established internal financial control environment to ensure that current standards are maintainedMonth End - To support the month end and balance sheet process. Ensure the process is robust, efficient and that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled. All reports are to be submitted in line with reporting deadlinesTAX - Prepare PSA, Tax Packs, VAT ReturnsWorking Capital - To review and understand actual cash performance and forecast short-term cash requirements. Influence the key drivers of working capitalIS and Business Processes - Manage the financial systems (ERP, Fixed Assets, Reporting Systems etc), to ensure they are operating and are being used efficiently and effectively, and that the integrity of the information held within themis maintainedOverhead reporting - To Business Partner on overhead spend through regular meetings and review to budget.
