Job Description

The Senior Retail & Online Allocators main mission is to support sales by ensuring the effective and optimised distribution of product ranges across the companys retail network.Client DetailsThis company is one of UKs leading retailers for school supplies and accessories, and this is an excellent opportunity to join their Buying & Merchandising team based in Elstree.Description

  • Manage allocation process for all items to be allocated - new products, permanent products animated in campaigns, promotional items and window props for new campaigns.
  • Ensure on a daily basis that the automated orders have been properly generated and sent to SAP
  • Proactively follow the troubleshooting process to provide prompt solutions in case of issues
  • Review to identify and rectify any anomalies e.g. pack/unit errors, etc.
  • Assist the line Manager in reviewing all settings on a quarterly basis, to ensure optimal replenishment of Retail and online sales channels
  • Lead from a Supply Chain perspective the several store projects (renovations, refurbishments, new stores), to ensure stock availability and process consistency
  • Send recap of store projects to the warehouse on a weekly basis to ensure they are aware of any changes
  • Help the line manager to analyse inventory levels by store to ensure optimum stock levels are achieved / maintained
  • Take action to rectify low or excess stock. This might entail store visits, reviewing Replenishment orders and Store Manager training.
  • Pilot collection in stores for outlets and procedures for annual stock takes (inventory counts)
  • Help the line manager to prepare meetings with Retail regional managers, to arbitrate on key decisions and review performance.
  • Provide them regular stock and sales reporting to give them visibility on sell through
  • Support stores by answering to their queries in a timely manner
  • Ensure stock needs of the customer (the retail shop staffs) are met
  • Provide training to all new/ current store managers to help them manage stock.
  • Share through the weekly Retail Bulletin any important information related to stock
  • Ensure all the stock management processes are kept up-to-date
Profile
  • Strong numerical ability and analytical skills desirable
  • Experience working in a Retail Company
  • IT awareness - You are able to jiggle with different software
  • Previous experience as an Allocator preferable
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel
  • Experience working within stock allocation or stock management
  • Graduates of Buying & Merchandising are encouraged to apply
